Amateurs and Professional competitors must preregister for up to four sandwich categories (see official rules).  Competitors aged 12-17 may only compete in the Young Chefs “heat” and must be accompanied by an adult assistant during the competition.  (Youth aged 12-17 may serve as assistants as long as they are accompanied by an adult registered competitor in other Amateur “heats.”)  Except for the special Young Chefs heat, competitors must be at least 18 years of age to compete.

Registration is non-refundable and each contestant must register for each category individually (e.g., no group reservations may be made).  Anyone who attempts to register for more than four sandwich categories will be disqualified from the entire Championship and will not receive a refund.  When registering on Eventbrite, please enter the competitors name first, followed by an assistant if applicable.

The entry fee includes admission for one competitor and one assistant.  All competitors and assistants must preregister using Eventbrite:  $5 per category for Amateurs, $5 for the one “open” category for Young Chefs, and $10 per category for professionals.  Competitors may enter in up to four categories (except youth aged 12-17 who may only enter to compete in the Young Chefs open heat).   Competitors aged 12-17 may only compete in the Young Chefs “heat” and must be accompanied by an adult assistant during the competition.

There are four sandwich categories:  Classic, Classic Plus One, Classic Plus Extras, and Classic Dessert.  Young Chefs competitors may choose to prepare either a Classic, Classic Plus One, Classic Plus Extras, or Classic Dessert sandwich in their “open” heat.” Definitions, limitations on ingredients, descriptions of various sandwich categories are all contained in the official rules below.
Remember, you must always use REAL WISCONSIN CHEESE as the primary ingredient.
